Donut 30 Special Edition Wing

by Tecline

The Donut 30 Special Edition Wing with a 30kg (66lb) lift capacity which is ideal for 2x18 or 2x20 litre cylinders.

The wing has a double layer construction with an extremely durable and flexible outer shell made from non-fading Heavy Duty 1000D Nylon that is resistant to snags and tears. The inner bladder is made from Nylon 840 for increased resistance to aging and cracking, this bladder can be accessed via a heavy duty YKK zip.

A key feature of the Special Edition wing is its irregular-circle shape that improves streamlining and allows for a smooth flow of gas in any direction, enabling the diver to maintain their position in the water. Increasing the thickness of the bladder through a special insert, which is bonded into the seam of the bladder, gives excellent lateral stability and increases capacity without increasing the outer circumference of the wing – creating a compact wing with a large capacity.

The wide section at the bottom of the wing and narrower section at the top provides the diver with a high upright position when on the surface and stable trim position underwater. Being narrow at the top of the wing gives virtually unlimited possibilities for the configuration of hoses and, just as importantly, enables clear access to the manifold and tank valves.

The inflator (included) connects centrally to the wing, located between the cylinders in the narrow section to minimise uneven lift when inflating. A low profile release valve is located in an intuitive position easily found with the left hand.  Two eyelets in the centre section enable the wing position to be adjusted with respect to the backplate.

The wing has a high quality inflator fitted on a standard 40cm corrugated hose. A spare 33cm hose is supplied for those wanting a shorter inflator length.

The Tecline Donut 30SE wings each with a 5-year manufacturer's warranty for the outer shell, bladder and valves for the first owner.
